Due to booking demands, flights booked for weekends and public holidays are charged at a higher rate than weekdays

How It Works

• After a pre-flight briefing, we will drive you to the launch site where you are welcome to take photos or assist with the inflation of the balloon. The flight lasts between 45 minutes and an hour and offers spectacular views of Canberra.
• On landing we pack up the balloon and enjoy a traditional champagne celebration. Breakfast is not included.

Highlights

• The take-off site for the morning flight depends on the direction and speed of the upper winds. Your pilot will decide which is the best area to take off from.
• We celebrate your adventure after the flight with Australian sparkling "champagne" and fruit juice. If you have booked the optional breakfast, it is after the flight, back at the Hyatt’s Promenade Cafe.

Time

• Operates 7 days
• Meeting times range from 5am to 6.30am. The meeting time for your flight date will be confirmed on booking.

Duration

• Flight duration is approximately 45 minutes to 60 minutes
• The experience will take three to four hours to complete from the time we meet to the time your adventure finishes at the Hyatt

Departure Location

• We meet just before dawn at the Hyatt Hotel (foyer), 120 Commonwealth Ave, Canberra, ACT 2600

What To Bring

• Sturdy flat soled shoes hat and sunglasses
• Long trousers or slacks are preferred to shorts and avoid white clothes. Ballooning is an outdoor adventure experience and white clothes may be soiled
• Don’t forget your camera which may be carried at your own risk

Additional Information

• Children aged 6-12yrs must be accompanied by an adult
• The child price applies to children 6 to 12 years and less than 45kg. We do not fly children under the age of 6.
• The flight path is subject to change without notice with the decision being made by the pilot with the safety of the customers in mind
• The flight time can slightly alter on the day, should the weather conditions hinder the safety of the balloon flight

Fit to Fly

• Ballooning can involve some active participation and as such, a moderate level of fitness and wellbeing is required. All members of your party will need to be fit & well with:
• No significant knee problems,
• No significant hip problems,
• No significant back or neck problems,
• No recent surgeries or broken bones,
• No other existing conditions that would preclude from following the Pilot's instructions; Assuming the landing position with knees bent when instructed to do so, Absorbing a small bump when the balloon is landing or would prevent them from holding on to the safety handles when the balloon is landing,
• Are able to stand for one hour un-assisted,
• Do not weigh more than 140kg individually and Children do not weigh more than 50kg individually,
• Are not Pregnant.

Cancellation Policy

• Within 72 hours prior to a weekday or a weekend flight no changes are permitted – passengers are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances including being unwell to fly due to illness. Under no circumstances will flights be refunded or re-scheduled if passengers cancel or do not show for their ballooning experience on the morning of the scheduled flight.
• Between 72 hours and 7 days prior to rescheduling a weekday, weekend or Public Holiday flight - a $50 per person rebooking fee will be charged; weekday flights will need to be re-scheduled on a weekday only, excluding public holidays.
• Cancellation fees are strictly non-refundable.

• Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
• Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
• Availability was accurate at the time of booking however, is subject to change due to circumstances out of our control
