30 Minute Scenic Reef Flight

This flight includes views of beautiful Green Island and Fitzroy Island and on low tide, Vlasoff Sand Cay and Upolu Sand Cay. Sightings of manta rays, turtles and other marine life are not uncommon. There is a chance of spotting whales in the winter months!

45 Minute Scenic Reef and Rainforest Flight

Emerging from the canopy below you will see the Barron River and quaint rainforest village of Kuranda. From the top of the gorge we descend over the 250m rock face of the mighty Barron Falls which, while impressive year round, provides an awe-inspiring photo opportunity after heavy green-season rain (Dec-Apr).

We follow the Barron River for the next 5km as it snakes its way back down the gorge towards the ocean, providing hydro electricity to the city of Cairns and thrills for rafters riding on it’s rapids.

60 Minute Scenic Reef and Rainforest Flight

Our most comprehensive scenic flight, combining all the highlights of the 45 minute Reef & Rainforest flight with a further 15 minute extension along the rainforest covered escarpment of the Lamb Range including Crystal Cascades and beautiful Lake Morris.

Time

• Flights depart daily from Pier Helipad – 2 Pier Point Road Cairns QLD 4870. Upon completion of purchase, the tour operator must be contacted to confirm the exact flight time. Complete local tour operator information is included on your confirmation voucher

• Minimum 2 passengers required
• Check in is 30 minutes prior to travel

• Nautilus Aviation operate a fleet of helicopters with individual specifications. The maximum single seat payload is 130KG. For passengers exceeding 130KG, aircraft seating four or more (4+) passengers are required for private charters and for listed tours and packages, an additional seat at 50% of ticket price may need to be purchased for passenger comfort and aircraft weight and balance.
• Cancellation notice of 48hours is required for a full refund claim and 24-48 hours, for a 50% refund claim.
• No refund applies if the booking is cancelled inside 24 hours.
